Hi 👋🏻, I’m AJ — a hands-on design leader with over a decade of experience crafting high-value digital products for web and native platforms.
Based in green & rainy WA — I specialize in designing intricate tools, leading 0→1 initiatives, and building & scaling systems, processes, and teams. I embrace and enjoy the ambiguous and complex nature of my work.
I currently lead Product Design at Nightfall AI, where I oversee and manage the entire design function. Nightfall is an AI-powered platform that helps organizations protect their mission-critical data. In my time there I’ve helped mature the product into the enterprise-grade offering that it is today.
Before that, I worked at YML (Acq. by Code & Theory) where I led the design of multiple consumer iOS apps and fintech SaaS tools for clients such as Credit One and First Republic Bank.
I was also the founding Product Designer at Process Street, where I established a design culture, developed their visual language, and built their first iOS app.
I also had stints at CCB (Acq. by Pushpay) as a Brand Experience Designer and at Axis, a non-profit org, where I served as a Lead Designer and then later as a Creative Director.
When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with my wife and our 2 dogs, exploring somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. I’m really into film, death metal, and cooking.
